If you’re trying to come up with a business idea, consider what you’re good at! If you love hosting and entertaining, you could create downloadable dinner party menus and follow up with editable menus and place cards and invitations that match each theme. Pop those into a gorgeous, branded website, add some killer content about hosting and you’re on your way to an amazing digital product business! Next thing to consider is your audience. What type of product will be easiest for them to consume? Do they have lots of time or need something quick? Are they willing to invest big bucks, or will a lower price point be a better approach. For example, if you’re selling a digital cookbook for busy moms, you’re likely not going to be able to sell that for $75, but $15-25—that might be the sweet spot. If you’re selling an eBook on how to grow and monetize your IG account in 6 months, you’ll be able to sell that for more because people are more likely to spend more on something that will make them money.

There are lots of ways to sell digital products. You’ve maybe considered Etsy as an easy way to set up shop, and it is a great spot. You’ll get the added benefit of Etsy’s audience, but you’ll need to understand how to create a good listing and know some basic SEO to get your listing actually showing on Etsy. While Etsy can be a great and cheap place to get started, it also takes a percentage of your sales.
If you want to keep more money in your pocket, then I’d recommend an integrated shop on your own website. Not only does it look more professional and branded, but it allows you to keep more profits other than what your payment processor takes (and hint, this is not something you can get around on any platform).
This is exactly what I do in my shop here.
