4 Legit Ways to Make Money from Your Blog This Month | BlairStaky.com

Blogging has evolved from being a mere hobby to a lucrative career for so many people. If you’re passionate about sharing your expertise, experiences, or insights, there are several avenues to monetize your blog and turn it into a source of income. Plus, the perks of working from home or on the go are pretty incredible!

I myself was once a full-time blogger (I still blog occasionally here!) and absolutely loved the freedom, creativity and flexibility that came with the job. I’ve learned so much more since then and I only wish I could go back and time and start fresh with more of a plan in mind. Since time travel isn’t a thing yet, I wanted to share some legitimate ways to make money from your blog this month.

In this blog post, we’ll explore four proven ways to make money blogging: ads, affiliate marketing, sponsored content, and digital products.

4 Legit Ways to Make Money from your Blog This Month

Ads: The Foundation of Blog Monetization

Ads are one of the most common and straightforward ways to generate income from your blog. There are two primary methods to consider:

Display Ads

Platforms like Google AdSense and Media.net offer bloggers the opportunity to display ads on their websites. These ads generate revenue based on impressions (CPM) or clicks (CPC). While they may not bring in substantial income initially, as your blog grows in popularity, your earnings can increase.

As your traffic grows, you can apply to more competitive ad networks like Mediavine which will earn you far more than Google AdSense.

Native Advertising

Native ads blend seamlessly with your content, making them less intrusive and more engaging for your audience. Networks like Taboola and Outbrain allow you to integrate native ads, earning revenue per click or engagement.

To make the most of display ads, optimize your website for user experience, and consider ad placements that are both visible and unobtrusive.

Affiliate Marketing: Promote Products You Believe In

Affiliate marketing involves promoting products or services on your blog and earning a commission for every sale or action generated through your referral. This is one of the simplest and most common ways people earn money from their blogs. Here’s how you can make the most of affiliate marketing:

Choose Relevant Products

Promote products or services that align with your blog’s niche and that you genuinely believe in. Authenticity builds trust with your audience.

Create High-Quality Content

Write in-depth, valuable product reviews, comparison articles, or tutorials that showcase how these products can solve your readers’ problems. At the end of the day, if your content isn’t great, people aren’t going to be clicking on what you’re sharing, and without good content, it makes finding your website even harder. Disclosure is Key

Always be transparent about your affiliate relationships by disclosing them in your content. Trust is vital in blogging. Plus, you can actually get in trouble for not telling your audience that you’re being paid to promote something.

Sponsored Content: Collaborate with Brands

Sponsored content is a great way to monetize your blog by partnering with companies in your niche. Here’s how to get started:

Build Your Reputation

To attract sponsors, you need a substantial readership and a solid online presence. Focus on creating high-quality, niche-specific content to build your reputation. This is also one of the quickest ways to grow your organic traffic from Google search and Pinterest.

Pitch to Brands

Reach out to brands you genuinely want to work with, and propose collaboration ideas. Be specific about what you can offer them in terms of exposure and engagement.

Clear Disclosure

Ensure that your audience knows that the content is sponsored by including a clear disclosure statement.

Digital Products: Create and Sell Your Expertise

One of the most profitable ways to make money blogging is by selling your digital products. This has been around for a long time, but if you have amazing information to share, this can be really lucrative. Another thing I love about selling your own digital products is that you keep 100% of the profits!

You create the product once and sell it on repeat over and over and over again.

Here are some ideas:

E-books

Share your knowledge in the form of e-books. Whether it’s a how-to guide, a comprehensive course, or a recipe book, digital books can be a valuable income source.

Online Courses or Mini Courses

Offer online courses in your niche. Platforms like Teachable make it easy to set up and monetize your courses. I have a combination of different courses—some that are pricier and some that are quick and simpler. I love having both because I can reach people at different price points and give them some major quick wins!

Printables or Templates

If you’re in a creative niche, consider selling printables, templates, or digital art that can help your audience. These can be something you make in Canva, or like me, full-on website templates!

Turning your blog into a money-making machine is not an overnight endeavor, but it’s certainly achievable with dedication and the right strategies. By combining these four proven methods – ads, affiliate marketing, sponsored content, and digital products – you can start on the path to financial success while sharing your passion and expertise with the world.

As someone who blogged full-time, it is so smart to think about your overall business and monetization strategy NOW—pick a niche, create content and products that solve problems and fit within there and you will see more success quickly!

Remember, providing value and maintaining trust with your audience should always be your top priority. Happy blogging!
