I’m back today after a long weekend away in the mountains with my sisters and can’t wait to show you this stunning Showit website we recently launched for a functional medicine and acupuncture practice located right here in Denver.
Rooted in Tradition has been in business for many years and Carrie came to me wanting a fresh new look for her brand to modernize and elevate it.
This was a custom website project which means it was completely designed and launched in just two weeks! Her site featured a number of different custom pages that deeply explained her services, as well as an integrated WordPress blog. I always recommend a blog to help build your SEO and long-term traffic and was excited when Carrie was down to start one.
The goal was to create an online experience that was at the same level as Carrie’s business and to help attract new clients into her business.

Branding Overhaul
As you can see above, Carrie’s old site was very simple. I chose colors and fonts to create a clear, concise and memorable brand that gives you a feeling of calm and grounding that works perfectly with her brand.
One of my favorite ways to bring a brand to life is through custom fonts and I love what we picked for her website. It’s the perfect mix of structure and organic lines.

Added a Shop
With Showit, you can add an online shop using Shopify’s Buy Button which is a great way to have an integrated shop when you don’t have large or ever-changing inventory. In this case, we built an affiliate shop so Carrie can earn affiliate commission on purchases made through her links.
I love how this looks like a seamless integration into her site and so custom!
Online Booking
Making it easy for clients to book was one of our big goals. Rooted in Tradition uses a separate booking software for their appointments, so we focused on creating more calls to action throughout the page so that we’d catch users in different places throughout their journey.
WordPress Blog
One of the best ways to build your long-term traffic and carve out a space for yourself in your industry is to become an expert. Blogging on your business’ topic is on of the easiest ways to set yourself apart and help drive organic traffic to your website.
With Showit, you can seamlessly add a WordPress blog within your blog that’s branded beautifully and gives a cohesive look to your entire website.
Integrated Email Building
We integrated her Mailchimp email list to make it easy for browsers to sign up for her email list and stay updated with her business.
If you’re a business owner and don’t have an email list yet, this is your sign to start one! Mailchimp is a great platform, but my favorite is Flodesk or ConvertKit, you can read about the differences between them here.
